The goal of evidenced-based practice is to bring research to the bedside. Researchers replicate studies so that they can show that a practice change is needed. It is the hope that the bedside nurses will review the research and bring that practice change to the bedside. Some facilities have journal clubs in which nurses meet periodically to review research about practices in that facility with the goal of proposing changes to practice.Learning Objectives
